Before Begining a Submission:

Select Abstract Submission Type, Theme, and Audience Track

  • Read these descriptions to select the Abstract Type (Research, Programmatic Innovation, or Workshop) that best fits your submission.
  • Identify the Theme that aligns with your content (e.g., Technology and Innovation, Learning Strategies, Well-Being Initiatives).
  • Select the Audience Track based on your intended learners (e.g., Pre-Clerkship, GME, UME Services).

Select Appropriate Abstract Guide

  • Research Abstract: For original investigations grounded in theory and methodology, aimed at generating generalizable knowledge and contributing to scholarly dissemination.
  • Programmatic Innovation Abstract: For evaluated educational interventions or solutions that address challenges and improve learning, teaching, or institutional effectiveness without requiring a formal research design.
  • Workshop Abstract: For interactive, skill-based sessions designed to actively engage participants in practical learning and professional growth.

Begin your Submission

  • Start your abstract by clicking on one of the submission icons and entering the required information into the submission portal.
  • You can return to My Submissions (via your Portal) to view or edit your draft at any time before the deadline.

Designating your Speakers

  • List only individuals who will be presenting and registering for the conference. Do not include co-authors or contributors who are not presenting. (See abstract guides for more details.)
  • All presenters -oral or poster- are listed as "Speakers" in the program.
  • Omit names and titles in the abstract. Abstracts are reviewed anonymously without displaying speaker names.
  • The Primary Speaker is responsible for managing the submission, completing required tasks, and serving as AACOM's main point of contact. This may or may not be the most senior team member.
  • Only Submitters, Primary Speakers, and Organizers will have full access to the submission. Additional Speakers and other Workshop roles will be notified when added but will only be able to view the submission content.
  • Speakers may be added or removed upon request after the deadline and until February 28, 2026.

Confirmation

  • Once all steps are completed—including disclosure forms from all listed speakers—the abstract will be marked Complete.
